Common Causes and Solutions
1. Insufficient Funds
Solution: Verify your card or account has sufficient balance for the transaction amount plus any applicable fees.
2. Card Not Enabled for Online Payments
Solution: Contact your bank to ensure your card is activated for e-commerce transactions. Some cards require separate online payment authorization.
3. Incorrect Payment Details
Solution: Double-check all entered information including card number, expiry date, CVV, and cardholder name. Ensure there are no typos.
4. International Transaction Restrictions
Solution: If using a card issued outside Bahrain, verify it's accepted for international transactions. Contact your bank if needed.
5. Daily Transaction Limits Exceeded
Solution: Check with your bank if you've reached your daily spending limit for online transactions.
6. Security Verification Failed
Solution: If you didn't receive or couldn't complete 3D Secure authentication (OTP), ensure your registered mobile number with your bank is active and can receive SMS.
What to Do After a Failed Payment
- Wait 5-10 minutes before retrying to avoid duplicate charges
- Check your bank statement to confirm if money was deducted
- If deducted but service not received, note the transaction reference
